My Background
After graduating from the University of Miami, I went on to pursue law school in Southern California. At that time I was suffering with many chronic ailments that western medicine was unable to correct on its own, so I gave Chinese medicine a shot. After a couple months I noticed myself transforming physically and in other subtler aspects of being. My hormones regulated themselves, I started sleeping soundly, the constant anxiety and mental stress torturing me gradually subsided, and I had memories of emotions and experiences long forgotten. I have found there has been no end to the amount of resolution and release that comes from being engaging with this medicine.
I have a master’s in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine from Yo San University in Marina Del Rey and I’m also finishing a doctorate in the same field. My passions have led me to pursue advanced training with master practitioners in which I’ve gained clinical skills in the treatment of orthopedics and internal medicine in addition to the specialty of five-element constitutional diagnosis and treatment. I have found this style to be the most transformative through my own healing journey and that of my patients. With it, I not only treat the manifestations of illness, but a person’s root pattern of imbalance.
In my spare time I read, surf the local waters, practice yoga, play golf, and go on hikes and other adventures with my dog, Tao.

“It’s not emotions or weather that makes us sick. It’s the nature of our relationship to them, our addiction to them, our morbid infatuation with them, and our habit of investing our awareness into them, identifying with them, and then acting out of them that makes us sick.”

My Approach
In Chinese Medicine the symptoms that show up are branches of a underlying root system of imbalance. By not only treating the branch manifestations of the root, but also acknowledging original subtle patterns of dysfunction, healing is encouraged in a long-lasting manner aside from temporary relief. Part of all treatment addresses a patient's innate constitution and virtues based on a 3000-year-old tradition of five-element analysis.
Treatments are geared at correcting physical, mental, and spiritual dysfunctions over a typical course of 6-10 treatments alongside herbal therapy. With each treatment, awareness of the authentic self is deepened. Benefits tend to include reduced pain and improved digestion, sleep, energy levels, mood, and mental/emotional clarity.
